            WCT or Wireless Charging Technology is about to be launched soon. Integrated Device Technology, Inc (IDT) has announced that with co-operation with INTEL, you shall be able to charge your smart phones without any wires using Ultrabook. This might seem tiny progress yet it will open doors to further development in the regarding field. These devices will be using Inductive charging i.e magnetic fields will be used to transfer energy. Further progress might introduce this tech to more power consuming devices such as printers, scanners, L.C.D's etc. Expected launching time is round about start of 2013.
